Procedure to calculate the size of liner and underlay:

Add twice the maximum depth of the pond to both the length and width – then add some overlap, like 50cm on either side. E.g. if your pond is 4 meters by 3 meters and 2 meters deep: Length = 4 (L) + 2 (D) + 2 (D) + 1 for overlap = 9m Width = 3 (W) + 2 (D) + 2 (D) + 1 for overlap = 8m
